About

The Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) is a vital non-profit law firm dedicated to providing free civil legal services to low-income and senior-aged residents in rural Georgia. Established in 1970, GLSP addresses the critical disparity in legal access, particularly for those outside metro Atlanta, serving 154 of the state's 159 counties. Our core mission is to create equal access to justice and foster opportunities out of poverty, recognizing that poverty often stems from discrimination.

At GLSP, we firmly believe that everyone deserves high-quality legal representation, regardless of their income, age, race, or other demographic factors. Our experienced staff and trusted partners work tirelessly to ensure qualifying Georgians receive the legal assistance and representation they need. We operate through 10 regional offices across the state, bringing essential legal aid directly to communities where it is most needed.

Our comprehensive range of civil legal services includes:

  • Family Law: Assisting clients with critical family matters.
  • Housing: Providing support for housing-related issues, including eviction prevention.
  • Access to Public Benefits: Helping individuals secure the benefits they are entitled to.
  • Farmworkers Rights: Advocating for the rights and welfare of farmworkers.
We are an emboldened group of attorneys, paralegals, and advocates committed to fighting for full inclusion, equality, and justice. We condemn racism, bigotry, sexism, and all forms of discrimination, providing services to clients irrespective of their background. Our team strives to empower clients to escape abuse, feed their families, maintain their homes, and significantly improve their quality of life. We also offer extensive pro bono opportunities for private attorneys to volunteer their expertise, further extending our reach and impact across Georgia.
