The Metro Atlanta Land Bank Authority, Inc. is a mission-driven organization dedicated to revitalizing communities across Metro Atlanta. With over 30 years of experience, the Land Bank identifies and acquires tax-delinquent, vacant, abandoned, and dilapidated properties, transforming them into valuable assets for the community. Our core purpose is to facilitate the return of these properties to productive use, fostering vibrant, mixed-market communities and creating significant economic opportunities.

We work diligently to:

• Acquire Title: Secure ownership of distressed properties, including those with tax delinquencies.
• Extinguish Liens: Clear past-due tax liens held by Fulton County and the City of Atlanta, reducing development costs and streamlining the process for partners.
• Promote Redevelopment: Inventory, manage, maintain, and dispose of acquired properties under appropriate terms to support new construction, rehabilitation, and owner occupancy.

Our initiatives are designed to create both affordable and market-rate housing options, generate new tax revenue, and stimulate local economies. We offer investment opportunities for converting blighted properties into beautiful homes and thriving neighborhoods. The Land Bank is a powerful incentive for redevelopment in distressed areas, providing a legal and financial mechanism to transform underutilized land. Elizabeth Roberts serves as the Internal General Counsel, contributing to the legal framework that supports these vital community development efforts.
