Truett Cathy opened The Dwarf Grill, later perfecting the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. The first Chick-fil-A restaurant officially opened in Atlanta in 1967, guided by a corporate purpose to glorify God and have a positive influence on all who come in contact with the brand.

At Chick-fil-A, quality food is a top priority. We are committed to serving freshly prepared meals, from hand-breaded chicken to fresh produce for salads. Our dedication extends to innovative practices, such as being the first restaurant to pair shopping and eating in a mall, and introducing parent-friendly menus. Additionally, every new restaurant opening includes a significant donation to hunger relief efforts. We are also known for our tradition of closing on Sundays, allowing Team Members a day for rest and worship.
