About

Dunlap Gardiner, LLP was established in 2009 by Wesley C. Dunlap and Brian M. Gardiner, friends from Georgia State University College of Law. The firm began in Douglasville, Georgia, and has since grown to five attorneys and a support staff of twenty, moving to Hiram in 2014 to accommodate its expansion. A new office in McDonough, Georgia, was also opened in February. The firm is dedicated to providing quality representation for communities and businesses throughout Georgia, focusing on a wide range of general civil litigation matters.

They handle collection matters, creditor bankruptcy issues, and homeowner association matters, including drafting covenants and bylaws and representing associations regarding any issues that may arise. Dunlap Gardiner also represents many finance companies and banks, addressing various legal needs for these clients. Wes and Brian are committed to offering affordable representation while maintaining close client relationships, striving to make the legal process as painless and efficient as possible. Their practice is founded on the principle that clients are entitled to knowledgeable, honest, and diligent legal representation.

As a smaller, more focused law firm, they enjoy close working relationships with each of their clients, giving every case the meticulous attention it deserves. Their practice areas include:

  • Homeowner Association Law: General representation, resolving homeowner disputes, collecting delinquent dues and fees, drafting governing documents, and representing associations in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Civil Litigation: Advocacy and counsel in various courts throughout Georgia.
  • Collections: Efficiently turning accounts receivable into accounts received for companies and individuals.
  • Finance Company and Auto Dealer Representation: Defending clients against claims, obtaining writs of possession, dealing with insurance disputes, and advising on compliance issues.
  • Creditor Bankruptcy Law: Filing proof of claims, objections to confirmation, motions to lift automatic stays, and communicating with opposing counsel to protect client property interests.

The firm strives to ensure clients collect funds owed to them, fighting for creditor's rights in both State and Federal Court, and defending creditors against claims alleging violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
