About

The Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) is a distinguished nonprofit law firm dedicated to providing free civil legal services to low-income and senior-aged residents in rural Georgia. Established in 1968 and incorporated in 1971, GLSP was founded to address the critical disparity in legal service access for those who cannot afford it, particularly outside urban centers. Our mission is to ensure equal access to justice and create opportunities out of poverty for qualifying Georgians across 154 of the state's 159 counties, excluding metro Atlanta.

At GLSP, we believe that everyone has a right to high-quality legal services, regardless of income, age, race, or other demographic factors. Our experienced staff and trusted partners operate through 10 regional offices and a statewide intake system, offering assistance in a wide array of civil matters. These include crucial areas such as:

  • Family Law: Helping clients navigate complex family issues.
  • Housing: Providing support for eviction prevention and maintaining stable homes.
  • Access to Public Benefits: Assisting individuals in securing essential public assistance.
  • Farmworkers Rights: Advocating for the rights and welfare of farmworkers.

We are an emboldened group of attorneys, paralegals, and advocates committed to fighting for full inclusion, equality, and justice. GLSP strongly condemns racism, bigotry, sexism, and all forms of discrimination, providing services to clients irrespective of their background. We value all people and strive to empower our clients to escape abuse, feed their families, maintain their homes, and significantly improve their quality of life. Our commitment to justice is unwavering, as we work to challenge discrimination and uphold dignity and respect for all Georgians in need.
